About the event

With millions around the planet demanding environmental justice, it's necessary for writers to think about how their work engages with the natural world. In this 90-minute seminar, we will use generative exercises and group discussion to discover new ways of interacting with nature in our work. Studying a wide range of authors such as Robin McLean, Ursula K. Le Guin and more, we will challenge traditional notions of setting and place while adding layers of social commentary to our work. Writers of all levels are encouraged to join; this course was designed so that both emerging and established voices can gain new insights on how to write about the environment!
